Here's how I think a united Africa would turn out:
CAPITAL: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (Federal government)
CITIES:
• Lagos, Nigeria
• Johannesburg, South Africa
• Cairo, Egypt
• Nairobi, Kenya
STATES: 58 (Haiti and Jamaica included)
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: Kiswahili
— Each state will have it's own set languages but Kiswahili must be learned by everyone and all contracts must be in Swahili.
LAWS:
• No state may secede from the union.
• No state may enter into agreements with other countries.
• No state may declare war on the other.
NATIONAL CURRENCY: Afro (Æ)
Because of the huge territory, the "United States of Africa" would have five divisions— Northern, Southern, Central, Eastern and Western. These will work more closely together.
In the beginning, we'll face a lot of problems with illnesses like HIV, Ebola and many others. We'll deal with a lot of civil wars and tribalist attacks due to some angry people who opposed the idea. There might also be terrorist attacks.
Then a few years later, it will all calm down and development will skyrocket.
It's most likely that even if the continent is united, we'd reside in a place that is mostly populated by our tribal groups.
With one government, currency and territory, we'd control everything in the continent and all Western economies will be dependent on us and their economies will crumble as we rise to power. We'll control the resources and set our own prices without being forced to lower our prices.
We'll have a bigger military and a wide market full of opportunities. As time goes, we'll slowly separate ourselves from the rest of the world and seek to be completely independent and self-reliant.
